JOB DESCRIPTION:

Elementary/Middle School Guidance Counselor:  Conduct goal-oriented counseling sessions, consult with teachers and parents regarding developmental needs of students, participate in activities that contribute to the development of a positive school climate. Help with the creation of positive behavior management systems. Assist students in the areas of academic, social behavioral, and emotional development needs. Make appropriate referrals of students and parents to outside agencies. Participate in activities that contribute to the effective operation of the school. Preferred knowledge of PARCC assessment and coordinating testing throughout the year.

REQUIREMENTS:

Appropriate Illinois Professional Educator License w/K-8 School Counselor Endorsement.
